Telford & Wrekin Council in Shrewsbury is seeking an Enablement Worker to join our Community Activity & Wellbeing Team. You will deliver support in the community and help people live more independent lives.
Experience in health and social care is welcome; training is provided with a full induction, supervision and opportunities for progression. DBS is free, with benefits including pension and staff development.
Qualifications
- Experience in health and social care sector or willingness to develop in care sector.
- Ability to adapt activities and daily tasks to individuals with learning disabilities or autism.
- Commitment to equality and diversity.
Responsibilities
- Deliver support in the community to enable independence.
- Provide high quality care to individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities, learning disabilities and/or autism.
- Adapt activities and daily tasks to individuals’ needs and promote engagement.
- Support with sensory stimulation, social interaction, learning new skills and community access.
