Job summary

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer a Band 5 Dietitian post in the Community Dietetics Adults Team, based at The Heathside Centre, Coxheath. Qualifications

• Providing nutritional assessment, treatment, monitoring and evaluation for adults with diverse needs.
• Delivering face to face outpatient clinics in community settings.
• Undertaking home visits to support patients in their own homes.
• Running virtual clinics and remote working where appropriate.
• Working within care homes and community hospital settings with MDTs.
• Contributing to and delivering patient education sessions.

Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare or working on the Staff Bank within these organisations. Based at The Heathside Centre, Coxheath, this role offers a varied and rewarding workload across a range of community settings, where you can see the real difference your dietetic advice makes to patients’ lives.

You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills while working alongside experienced dietitians in a supportive and friendly team.

This role is ideal for newly qualified dietitians or those looking to broaden their experience within community nutrition and dietetics, providing exposure to a wide range of clinical settings, ongoing professional development, and the chance to work as part of a highly supportive and experienced team.

As a Band 5 Community Dietitian, you will have a varied caseload with support from experienced colleagues and clinical supervisors, gaining experience across a broad range of community settings.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Providing nutritional assessment, treatment, monitoring and evaluation for adults with a range of nutritional needs
• Delivering face to face outpatient clinics
• Undertaking home visits to support patients in their own homes
• Running virtual clinics, including remote working from home where appropriate
• Working within care homes and community hospital settings alongside multidisciplinary teams
• Contributing to and delivering patient group education sessions

You will be part of a large, friendly, and supportive Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Service within KCHFT, employing over 50 dietetic staff across four teams working across Kent. We are a dynamic, forward thinking community service that values innovation, collaboration, and staff wellbeing.
