THE EMPLOYER IS: BREADY & DISTRICT ULSTER SCOTS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION LTDThe Caretaker will support the day-to-day operations of the community centre by ensuring that the building is clean, safe and well maintained. You will be working closely with centre staff and volunteers. The role is essential in helping to maintain a welcoming environment for service users and the public.

Responsibilities
  • Opening and closing the community centre as needed.
  • Carrying out regular cleaning of communal areas, toilets and meeting rooms.
  • Setting up and clearing rooms for events, meetings or group activities.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks and reporting any repairs required.
  • Monitoring supplies (e.g. cleaning products and light bulbs) and informing staff when restocking is needed.
  • Assisting with basic outdoor maintenance such as litter picking or sweeping entrances.
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed (e.g. fire exits are clear).
  • Supporting staff during events and being a point of contact for basic building-related queries.
  • Logging completed tasks and maintaining basic checklists.
