Job summary

The Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a domestic cleaner for the DCHS Domestic Team at Staveley Centre's Community Support Bed Unit. You will keep patient, staff and visitor areas clean and safe to the National Standard of Cleanliness, working alone or alongside colleagues.

The post holder may cover other DCHS sites when service demands it. Previous experience is welcome but not essential, as training is given and a basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills, or willingness to work towards them.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Basic Health & Safety Certificate is desired.
• NVQ in Cleaning or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality domestic service on the Community Support Bed Unit.
• Keep the environment clean and safe for patients, staff and visitors.
• Clean to the National Standard of Cleanliness.
• Follow agreed work schedules, methods and procedures.
• Work individually or as part of a team.
• Cover other sites when service demands require it.
