Job summary

• Support service users to remain independent and comfortable within their own homes.
• Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, and maintaining personal hygiene with dignity and respect.
• Assist with meal preparation, shopping, and light household tasks to help create a safe and welcoming environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support, sharing plenty of tea, good company, and heartwarming stories along the way.
• Prompt or administer medication as outlined in individual care plans.
• Observe and report any changes in wellbeing to the office or on-call team.
• Travel around Swadlincote like the local hero you are – fuel allowance included!
• Work flexible shifts, typically 35+ hours per week, including one weekend on and one weekend off.

Unqualified carers earn from £12.65–£19.28 per hour on weekdays and £13.00–£19.80 per hour at weekends.

Qualified carers (Level 2+) earn £13.10–£19.95 per hour on weekdays and £14.00–£21.30 per hour at weekends.
