Pay Rates

Basic week date rate - £13

Enhanced week date rate - £13.65

Basic Weekend rate - £14

Enhanced weekend rate - £14.65

45p per mile, travel time, paid leave, enhanced rates of pay for bank holidays.

Role Summary

As a Community care assistant, you will be responsible to look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the Clients using a person-centred approach. You should observe and promote the patient’s choice, independence, dignity, privacy, fulfilment and other rights and maintain good professional relationships with clients, their family and friends and other stakeholders. You should actively support other Care Workers and adhere to all regulatory and statutory obligations and policies, procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • To provide personal and practical care services for people with a wide range of illnesses and disabilities.
  • To assist individuals with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing, and the toilet where necessary.
  • To help individuals with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence and use of aids and personal equipment.
  • To help care for individuals who are end of life.
  • To promote mental and physical activity of individuals through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies, and recreation.
  • Support carer respite with block packages of care.
  • To read and write in log‑book records and take part in staff and individual’s meetings and in training activities as directed.
