Qualifications

  • Must be a qualified psychiatrist with GMC registration.
  • CCT required, with a focus on Child and Adolescent mental health.
  • Eligibility for the Specialist Register is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical support to children and young people with mental health needs.
  • Work as a part of multidisciplinary teams and guide junior staff.
  • Participate in the on-call rota.

We are currently recruiting to a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Tunbridge Wells CAMHS Community Team, based at Highlands House, Calverley Park Gardens, Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN1 2JN. This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this position as soon as possible.

You will join a Specialist Grade Doctor within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

Job responsibilities

You will be expected to:

Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Tunbridge Wells.

Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team

Work directly with young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals

Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:14, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement.

Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative

Work alongside a Specialty Doctor.

Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
