Join Ebbsfleet Green Primary School as our First Community Ambassador

Be the Bridge Between School and Community!

Hours : 15–16 per week

Contract : 2-year fixed term

Term Time Only : 38 weeks per year

Are you passionate about connecting people, building strong community links, and making a real difference for children and families? Do you love bringing people together and creating opportunities that help everyone thrive?

This is a unique opportunity to lead our community engagement work — building meaningful partnerships between families, local organisations, and the school.

About the Role
  • Build relationships with local businesses, charities, and services
  • Support and organise events like coffee mornings, family workshops, and community days
  • Represent the school in the local area and raise its profile
  • Signpost families to support services and local resources
  • Work closely with our inclusion and wellbeing teams, and the wider Trust network

From welcoming families at the gate to coordinating projects that bring our community together — this role is about connection, creativity, and care.

You’ll work independently but never alone, supported by a friendly team at school and a Trust‑wide network of Community Ambassadors. Your time will be split between the school site, the local community, and occasionally working from home.

Who You Are

You’re approachable, empathetic, and a natural communicator. You can build trust, organise your time effectively, and adapt to the changing needs of families and the school. Most importantly, you’re passionate about helping others and making a difference.

You might have experience in:
  • Running school or community events (e.g. PTA, fundraisers, youth clubs)
  • Volunteering with local groups or charities
  • Supporting families or working in customer or community‑facing roles

If you’ve ever played a role in connecting people or supporting your community — we’d love to hear from you.

What We Offer

At Ebbsfleet Green Primary School, we’re proud to be a growing, inclusive, and community‑rooted school. As part of the Maritime Academy Trust, we invest in our people and help every member of our team thrive.

You can expect:

  • A school deeply connected to its local community
  • Bespoke professional development and collaborative learning networks
  • A positive, empowering culture where support staff are valued
  • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • A comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme supporting your well‑being
