A community support organization in England is looking for volunteers to assist individuals living with dementia in social activities. This flexible role requires a commitment of 8 hours per month and is ideal for those interested in making a difference. Volunteers will help reduce social isolation, demonstrating empathy and good communication skills. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and willing to learn about dementia.
We are passionate about promoting social inclusion for people living with dementia. We are looking for volunteers that will support people living with dementia to attend and participate in local pre-arranged social activities/groups.
This role will be crucial in helping people to stay connected and engaged with their communities and reduce social isolation.
This is a flexible role, with an expected commitment of 8 hours per month. Candidates should ideally be familiar with the areas surrounding the following GP practices in Telford: Stirchley, Court Street Medical Practice, Ironbridge Medical Practice and Woodside Medical Practice.
This role will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Records Check from either the Disclosure and Barring Service (England & Wales), Disclosure Scotland Check (Scotland) or AccessNI (Northern Ireland).
