A leading dementia support charity in the UK seeks volunteers to support people living with dementia in attending local social activities. This role aims to reduce social isolation and promote community engagement. Volunteers should possess empathy, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn about dementia. Commitment is approximately 6 hours per month.
About The Role
We are passionate about promoting social inclusion for people living with dementia. We are looking for volunteers that will support people living with dementia to attend and participate in local pre-arranged social activities/groups.
This role will be crucial in helping people to stay connected and engaged with their communities and reduce social isolation.
This role will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Records Check from either theDisclosure and Barring Service (England & Wales), Disclosure Scotland Check (Scotland) or AccessNI (Northern Ireland).
