A leading dementia support organization seeks volunteers to assist people living with dementia in local activities. This flexible volunteer role involves a commitment of around 6 hours per month and requires empathy and good communication skills. Suitable candidates should be 18 years or older and willing to engage meaningfully with the community.
We are passionate about promoting social inclusion for people living with dementia. We are looking for volunteers that will support people living with dementia to attend and participate in local pre-arranged social activities/groups. This role will be crucial in helping people to stay connected and engaged with their communities and reduce social isolation.
This is a flexible volunteer role with an expected commitment of around 6 hours per month. Volunteers should ideally be familiar with the Oswestry area.
This role will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Records Check from either the Disclosure and Barring Service (England & Wales), Disclosure Scotland Check (Scotland) or AccessNI (Northern Ireland).
