Job summary

Voluntary Action Rotherham is seeking a Connecting Communities Coordinator to lead the Moving Rotherham Community Activation strand, including grants administration, delivering training to community partners and coordinating networks. The role focuses on encouraging physical activity and improving access to local opportunities.

You will collaborate with voluntary and community sector partners to develop delivery partnerships, raise capacity in local groups, and contribute to service planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, delivery and ongoing coordination of the Moving Rotherham Community Activation strand of work, including grants administration and coordinating community networks.
• Deliver training to community partners and build awareness, expertise and capacity in local organisations.
• Work with voluntary and community sector partners to develop community delivery partnerships and area networks.
• Contribute to service planning and liaise with inter-agency partners to involve people in development opportunities.
• Support work with children, young people and families.
