Can you tell the inspirational story of our service?
Be the difference, make the change.
Based within North East Lincolnshire Council’s fostering service but working closely with our Communications and Marketing team, we are looking to recruit a full-time communications supportofficer to continue to drive our fostering visibility across the borough and more specifically on social media platforms.
You will be actively involved in supporting and driving our Fostering recruitment and marketing strategy. You will be working with and communicating with our current foster carers, prospective new fostering families, partners, our foster friendly businesses and schools.
You will research what works for successful marketing campaigns, track and analyse performance metrics to support the ongoing strategy and consider any activity that demonstrates impact. You will help us to grow our online reach, create engaging content, scheduling posts and interacting with online audiences.
You’ll need an eye for a compelling story and the confidence to engage with complex and sometimes emotional subjects, helping to share the real experiences of foster carers and children in care in a way that inspires, informs, and drives meaningful recruitment.
We’re looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, online creator and proactive individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and young people. The post holder will be pivotal to the success of recruiting new foster carers for NEL through their marketing activity and their drive and determination to make a difference. Ideally with a background in PR, journalism or social media content creation.
Because this isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to be part of something bigger. At North East Lincolnshire Council, you’ll join a team that’s passionate about making a real difference. You’ll work in a supportive, inclusive environment where your expertise is valued, and your growth is encouraged.
Every day, our colleagues make a meaningful difference in the lives of local children and families. You’ll be part of a team that’s trusted, respected, and deeply rooted in the area we serve.
We aim to interview candidates w/c 17th November 2025
