Communication Operator - North Wales Police

I am currently representing North Wales Police who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.

We are looking for a Communication Operator based at: CH5 4HA.

Overall Purpose of Job

• To provide a professional, effective and efficient customer service within North Wales Police with the aim of 'getting it right first time'.
• To resolve issues raised by members of the public with an emphasis on first contact resolution wherever possible.
• To be responsible for resolution and deployment recommendations using a range of systems in a pressurised and reactive environment.
• To accurately record information on force systems.
• To receive, interpret, analyse, and disseminate information.

Requirements

• You have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in Communication/Business/Customer related field, or an equivalent amount of proven relevant experience.
• You can type around 25 - 30 wpm.
• You have good communication skills together with the ability to work well in a team environment or on your own initiative.
• You are computer literate to an intermediate level together with windows systems and/or relevant experience.
• You have the ability to evidence problem solving skills.
• You have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• You have good geographical knowledge of North Wales.
