Leadthe implementation and delivery of multi-channel communications activities for London Sport with a focus on community engagement for our Sport Welfare programme.

As part of the Fundraising, Marketing & Communications team, you will provide dedicated support to London Sport’s Sport Welfare team to develop marketing and communications activities to raise the profile of the team and its service offerings – including promoting opportunities, providing regular sector updates, signposting to resources, producing case studies and sharing learning.

What you’ll do:
  • Develop and implement a communications plan to engage safeguarding leads at community clubs, providing regular sector updates, sharing learnings and case studies, signposting to useful resources, and promoting events.
  • Maintain and update content on the Sport Welfare web page on londonsport.org with resources and signpost to other useful content.
  • Create and deliver content strategy and delivery plan for a Sport Welfare newsletter, including management of database.
  • Draft copy, and develop case studies, social media assets and news stories on the Sport Welfare programme for distribution through London Sport communication channels.
  • Manage the creation and production of branded assets for Sport Welfare comms and events ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Provide support to the smooth operation of Sport Welfare events and webinars.
  • Provide marketing and comms support for other London Sport initiatives, including content production, copy writing, and branded assets.
Who you are:
  • You are a team player who is willing to provide comms support across multiple and varied projects, with great attention to detail and a thorough and methodical approach to your work.
  • You have practical experience of communicating with the voluntary sector, sports clubs and/or grassroots organisations.
  • You have a good understanding of the end-to-end process for turning a comms plan into impactful content.
  • You are a confident writer and communicator with practical knowledge of communications channels.
  • You have knowledge of planning, organising and delivering events.
  • You have lived experience of day-to-day life in London.
Key Details:
  • Part-time 0.6FTE (21 hours per week). We’re open to discussing other flexible working options.
  • Salary: £17,750 per annum
  • Permanent contract
