Job summary

Bible Society is seeking a creative and highly organised Communications Officer based in Swindon for a 12-month maternity cover on a hybrid arrangement. You will work with the Communications team to craft digital and social media content that inspires audiences and drives engagement with the Bible.

The role focuses on developing content across platforms, supporting the digital content strategy, and delivering high-quality communications.

• Salary: £28,432 to £30,059 per annum

We're looking for a creative and highly organised Communications Officer to join our Communications team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

Working closely with the Head of Communications and Social Media and Engagement Lead, you'll create compelling digital and social media content that inspires audiences and helps more people engage with the Bible.

You’ll play a key role in developing content across multiple platforms, supporting our digital content strategy and ensuring all communications are delivered to the highest standard.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent copywriter with a strong understanding of social media and digital content, a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

You’ll be a creative thinker, a collaborative team player and a confident communicator who can build strong relationships across the organisation while producing engaging content that connects with a wide range of audiences. You will also be a competent proofreader and editor who can assist others to produce high-quality content.
