A leading public health university in the UK is seeking a passionate expert to manage communications for research projects. The role involves developing communications strategies, managing websites, and engaging with various audiences. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in media and communications and hold a relevant degree. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in London with a salary range of £39,984 – £45,728 per annum.
We're looking for a creative and passionate expert to manage communications for a portfolio of research projects and Centres at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), including the School's work on sustainability. This role is based in the central Communications & Engagement team.
Day‑to‑day work on research projects will be directed by relevant academic principal investigators.
You will have experience of developing and delivering successful communications strategies and an understanding of how to engage with relevant audiences.
The role requires a higher education degree level or equivalent, with substantial relevant experience working in media and communications within higher education, global and public health, or a science environment. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate and prioritise a complex workload are essential. Further particulars are included in the job description.
Full‑time, 35 hours per week, 1 FTE, fixed‑term for 1 year.

The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 5, in the range £39,984 – £45,728 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part‑time staff. In addition, there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London with hybrid working (approximately 8 days per month on campus).
