Overview

Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival is looking to recruit a full-time Communications Officer on a fixed term contract to plan and execute media and digital campaigns for events across our three venues and for Brighton Festival, celebrating its 60th edition in May 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Secure high quality, impactful media coverage across a range of regional media outlets (print, online, broadcast) for spring/summer 2026 events and support the communications campaign for Brighton Festival 2026.
  • Co‑ordinate joint campaigns with Marketing to ensure stories are communicated across digital channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage competing priorities and demonstrate initiative, flexibility and a positive can‑do attitude.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong communicator and copywriter with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in media relations and digital communications preferred.
  • Keen interest in the arts and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Tangible track record of winning media coverage and managing communications plans.
