Job description

An efficient and effective Marketing team is essential to the continued success of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai.

The Communications Officer will play a key part in the team by ensuring that the Grŵp enjoys widespread/positive coverage in the press and media, whilst also supporting the department with the production of publications and advertorials and social media content.

The post holder will deploy a range of skills and knowledge to enable them to contribute effectively to the delivery of a first‑rate marketing and communication service, both externally and internally.

In particular, s/he will be required to write high quality press releases for local and regional news outlets, the website and for social media.

The post holder will be based on the Rhos-on-Sea campus, and will be expected to visit other campuses as required.

Additionally, the post holder will be expected to communicate effectively with existing and potential customers, both within and outside the college, with suppliers and with other stakeholders.

S/he will also support other members of the Marketing & Communications Directorate and undertake other reasonable tasks and responsibilities at the request of the Grŵp Marketing & Communications Manager.

Salary: £28,729.56 - £31,176.06 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience

Place of Work: Rhos-on-Sea

Holiday Entitlement:

  • 28 days leave per annum, rising to 32 days after 5 full holiday years’ continuous service (01 September to 31 August).
  • All normally observed public holidays, determined annually.
  • Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually.

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week
