We deliver fully‑managed healthcare facilities services and property management solutions to clients throughout Blackpool, Fylde, Wyre and North Lancashire. Our teams ensure our clients’ properties and amenities provide the best environment for their customers, patients, staff and visitors. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we support the Trusts’ frontline clinical services and assist with the delivery of patient care through our service provision. This role will be on an ATLAS contract, not an NHS contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for supporting the Senior Leadership Team in delivering the company’s strategic objectives through the effective development, implementation and evaluation of a communications and marketing strategy and associated plans.
  • Provide internal and external communications, including marketing and media communications, reputation‑management advice and training to the board, executive team and other senior managers. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to build and grow the company’s reputation.
  • Act as the communications link between the company and its stakeholders.
  • Advise and support communications with teams across the business.
  • Support the Atlas Board and Senior Leadership Team by providing strategic counsel, reputation‑management and marketing advice as part of a high‑quality communications and marketing service.
  • Lead and manage communications and marketing activities, including:
    • Managing all internal/external communications channels, including digital and social communications.
    • Delivery of digital and print collateral.
    • Policy creation and review.
    • Budget management.
  • Develop, coordinate and implement long‑term communications and marketing strategy and plans that support Atlas business objectives.
  • Engage Atlas colleagues and stakeholders to develop a pipeline of positive stories which support the company’s reputation, strategically influence stakeholders and deliver its objectives.
  • Produce high‑quality printed and digital materials, writing/editing as appropriate and liaising with printers/designers where necessary.
  • Support organisation of corporate events, especially around recruitment.
  • Conduct regular audit and evaluation of communications, including surveys.
  • Develop relationships with BTH communications colleagues and in the wider NHS to ensure a coordinated approach to social media and wider communications.
  • Develop and manage the company website and intranet.
  • Manage corporate support and support junior colleagues as required.
  • Lead on handling media inquiries and engaging with journalists in partnership with clients where necessary.
  • Champion the Atlas brand ensuring compliance across all channels with accessible design principles, NHS identity requirements and local branding.
