Job Title: Communication Support Worker (CSW)

Location: Cambridge

Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time (37 hours per week)

Salary: £20,947 – £22,577 per annum (equivalent to £24,107 – £25,983 full-year)

The Role

As a Communication Support Worker, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support Deaf learners across a range of vocational areas.
  • Facilitate access to the curriculum and promote students’ independence, confidence, and inclusion.
  • Use your initiative and empathy to respond sensitively to learner needs.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 3 qualification in British Sign Language (Signature, CACDP, SEG, or Scottish equivalent).
  • Ideally holds a formal Communication Support Worker qualification.
  • Has GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
  • Has experience working with individuals with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
  • Is adaptable, empathetic, and confident working both independently and as part of a team.
