Job summary

Sphere Digital Recruitment is seeking a Comms Planning Director for a 3-month contract in the London area. You will own senior client relationships, lead planning responses across the full media mix, and guide a planning team while staying ahead of industry trends to secure a competitive edge for clients.

The role requires 6–7 years in comms planning/strategy within an agency, exceptional communication, and experience mentoring junior staff. The contract pays £320 per day outside IR35.

Qualifications

• 6–7 years’ experience in a comms planning/strategy role within an agency.
• Exceptional communication skills, confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Ideally experience mentoring and leading junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main point of contact for client portfolio and oversee senior client relationships.
• Lead planning responses to briefs, shaping comms strategy and channel roles across the media mix.
• Oversee delivery, guide outputs, coach junior members and manage workload as needed.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations to deliver competitive opportunities for clients.
