Job summary

A healthcare provider in Bradford is seeking a Communication and Engagement Lead to manage and deliver communication activities related to research. Due to maternity leave an exciting opportunity has arisen for a role within research to lead on, manage and deliver a wide range of communication and engagement activities for research. This is a key role in the promotion of research and raising awareness of research activity and its importance in the improvement of healthcare and wellbeing both internally to staff and externally to patients and our population, encouraging them to take part in research.

The postholder will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of communication and engagement strategies, projects and campaigns for a wide range of research initiatives including the Bradford Institute for Health Research, NIHR Commercial Research Delivery Centre and the Academic Unit for Ageing and Stroke Research (ASR).

Main duties of the job

Applicants must possess substantial communication/PR/marketing experience and skills with demonstrable experience of working in a large, complex organisation. It is expected that applicants will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience; previous experience of working in the NHS and knowledge of research in the NHS is desirable. With a proven track record to lead and deliver on multiple projects, they will have the ability to manage their time effectively, prioritise their workload and have a flexible approach to work.
