At TEKEVER, we lead innovation in Europe as the European leader in unmanned technology, where cutting-edge advancements meet unparalleled innovation. Digital | Defence | Security | Space. We operate across four strategic areas, combining artificial intelligence, systems engineering, data science, and aerospace technology to tackle global challenges - from protecting people and critical infrastructure to exploring space. We offer a unique surveillance-as-a-service solution that delivers real-time intelligence, enhancing maritime safety and saving lives. Our products and services support strategic and operational decisions in the most demanding environments - whether at sea, on land, in space, or in cyberspace. Become part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and mission-driven team that is transforming maritime surveillance and redefining global safety standards. At TEKEVER, our mission is to provide limitless support through mission-oriented game-changers, delivering the right information at the right time to empower critical decision-making. If you're passionate about technology and eager to shape the future - TEKEVER is the place for you.

Mission:

We are looking for Procurement Commodity Specialists to work closely with our Engineering teams to ensure that our product designs are supported by a robust, scalable and commercially viable supply chain. The commodity scope will span Electronics, Mechanical components, Materials, Powertrain and Vision systems. This is not a traditional purchasing role. You will be involved early in the design process, working alongside engineers to understand technical requirements, challenge where appropriate, identify supply chain risks and ensure that components and technologies selected can be sourced reliably and at the required cost and volume. You will become the procurement and supply chain subject-matter expert within the design process, helping Engineering make informed decisions about supplier capability, manufacturability, cost, lead times, capacity, technology maturity and supply chain risk.

What will be your responsibilities:
  • Work directly with Engineering throughout the product development lifecycle, from early concept through to production.
  • Engage with engineers early to understand technical requirements, performance specifications and design intent.
  • Provide supply chain input into component and technology selection.
  • Assess whether proposed components, materials and technologies have a viable and scalable supply base.
  • Challenge design decisions where there are significant cost, availability, capacity, lifecycle or supplier risks.
  • Identify alternative components, technologies and suppliers where appropriate.
  • Ensure procurement and supply chain considerations are embedded into engineering decisions rather than addressed once the design is complete.
  • Support Design Reviews, Technical Reviews and New Product Introduction activities.
  • Establish early supplier engagement where specialist technology or manufacturing capability is required.
Profile and requirements:

We are looking for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing.

  • Experience in strategic procurement, commodity management, sourcing or supply chain within a technical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working directly with Engineering or technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of supplier manufacturing capabilities and supply chain risks.
  • Experience across one or more of electronics, mechanical, materials, powertrain or vision systems.
  • Experience engaging suppliers during product development.
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on cost and supply.
What we have to offer you:
  • a highly competitive salary with a discretionary annual bonus
  • a company pension contribution match of up to 10%
  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Private Medical Insurance (with optional family cover)
  • Private Dental care
  • an Employee Assistance Programme
  • a flexible hybrid working model, typically three days a week at our core UK sites like Bristol
  • a bespoke rewards platform featuring a variety of high street discounts and salary sacrifice schemes, including Electric Car, Cycle to Work, and Technology options

We are deeply committed to investing in future talent; our scale allows us to provide clear career development opportunities and dedicated initiatives to boost your skill sets, ensuring you remain future-ready for the evolving workplace.
