Overview

Shift Pattern

The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00 or 09:00 - 17:00

Responsibilities
  • Ensure maximum efficiency of resources.
  • Achieve value for money across the portfolio.
  • Manage risk and liability through negotiation and procurement techniques.
  • Lead all aspects of multi‑million pound cross‑directorate contracts, including analysis, selection, award and management.
Role Summary

The Commodity Manager post is vacant and will oversee the analysis, selection, award and management of cross‑directorate contracts within the team's portfolio.

Qualifications
  • Degree level or equivalent.
  • Professional/Postgraduate qualification in Procurement and Supply (e.g., CIPS Professional Diploma Level 4) or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of contract law and public procurement legislation.
  • Excellent team management, communication and interpersonal skills.
