As a Category Buyer, you will lead sourcing activities within defined categories and projects, driving supplier performance and cost optimization. You will support strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with category plans and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Management: Own and manage assigned spend categories, developing and executing sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Supplier Selection & Contracting: Lead supplier selection processes, negotiate commercial terms, and manage contract creation, execution, and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, align procurement strategies, and ensure category plans support operational goals.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance, innovation, and value delivery.
  • Performance Monitoring: Conduct quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers to assess performance, address issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, risks, and opportunities to inform sourcing decisions and ensure competitiveness.
  • Cost Management: Drive cost savings and value creation initiatives through effective negotiation and supplier collaboration.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations, managing risks within the supply base.

To be successful in this role, you should have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business.
  • MCIPS accreditation or working towards.
  • Strong experience in sourcing or commodity management.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Travel

Travel both domestically and internationally may be required.
