Job summary

Advantage Resourcing UK Ltd in Chester is seeking an experienced Commodity Buyer for Buildings & Construction to lead end-to-end procurement across our UK and international infrastructure portfolio.

You will own major tender processes, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations for high-value construction services, spanning architecture, engineering, main contractors, project management, and control firms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on procurement, operations, or facility management experience in Building & Construction
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams and vendor relationships

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tender processes and develop commodity strategies
• Manage contracts and frame agreements with national and international suppliers
• Drive savings through specification challenges, demand management and negotiations
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and manage risk
• Advise internal project teams on compliant procurement frameworks
• Support rollout of e-procurement platforms and e-catalogues
