Job summary

A leading environmental services company is seeking an individual to manage the sales and logistics of secondary commodities. The successful candidate will have a degree, strong interpersonal skills, and experience in logistics. You will be responsible for coordinating transport and ensuring all sales communications are timely. This hybrid position allows for flexibility with office work in London.

What will you be doing?
  • Organise the sale and purchasing of secondary commodities (mainly recyclates) and products generated from Veolia's Material Recovery Facilities and other UK facilities
  • Coordinate domestic and overseas logistics, including sourcing transport subcontractors for work that cannot be serviced internally
  • Ensure all sales are administered and communicated on time to customers and internal teams
  • Process export shipments in a timely and compliant manner, following international waste regulations and EA regulations regarding duty of care
  • Liaise with sites and external customers for stock control, resolving customer queries and requests
  • Track customer service and communication, attending customer review meetings where required
  • Resolve invoice disputes and queries for both suppliers and customers
  • Provide continuous service to Veolia facilities and internal sales and purchasing teams, including ad hoc management information and monthly KPI performance statistics
What are we looking for?
  • Degree qualified or equivalent education level
  • Logistics and office experience that involved direct customer contact
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent organisational and time-management abilities
  • IT skills with intermediate proficiency in Google Sheets, combined with strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good written and spoken English essential
  • Waste management experience desirable
