Job description
Role Summary

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Commissioning Technician on a 3 Month Contract, based in Norfolk. The role involves providing support to ensure that all electrical systems function in compliance with design specifications, are installed according to industry standards, and are safe to operate. The individual will report to the Lead Commissioning Engineer regarding the delivery of allocated tasks and must maintain a strong duty of care for their own safety and that of others on site, ensuring that all work is always carried out safely. Key responsibilities include supporting and conducting all necessary tests to verify the correct functioning of electrical systems and equipment installed within the project. This involves performing electrical tests on AC control and protection systems, auxiliary power supply systems, and high-voltage primary equipment. All tests performed must be documented in compliance with the required quality standards and specific project requirements. The key objectives of the role are to ensure that all activities at the site are performed safely, that all electrical systems installed within the project operate in line with technical specifications, and that all work is executed within the agreed timescales. The individual should also plan to ensure the availability of plant, materials, tools, and test equipment necessary to successfully deliver assigned tasks.
