Job description
Overview

Commissioning – Enhancing Lives, Empowering Communities

We are excited to offer two rare and rewarding opportunities for exceptional leaders to join our passionate and forward-thinking Commissioning Team as Service Managers. Our Commissioning Directorate plays a vital role in shaping the future of accommodation and community-based support for children, young people, and adults. We take a whole-life approach, ensuring residents are supported at every stage of their journey. We are currently recruiting for two key roles:

  • Service Manager – Quality Assurance & Performance — Lead our team responsible for provider oversight and contract monitoring, ensuring services meet the highest standards.
  • Service Manager – Commercial — Head up our commercial team, including the brokerage function, working with health colleagues, managing placements and packages for both adults and children with a focus on value and impact.

In both roles, you will be a subject matter expert, shaping and delivering effective commissioning strategies that make a real difference. You will support the team to deliver high-performing frontline services and champion co-production and collaboration with partners such as health services to maximise public satisfaction.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • A relevant degree or substantial experience in evidence-based commissioning and staff leadership.
  • Deep knowledge of commissioning practices, including working with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and other regulatory bodies.
  • A strong grasp of legislation, such as the Care Act, and the ability to lead strategically in a politically diverse environment.

If you are ready to make a lasting impact and help shape services that truly enhance lives across Wiltshire, we’d love to hear from you.
