Qualifications

• 8+ years in commissioning, mission‑critical infrastructure delivery, or related technical disciplines.
• Experience developing commissioning standards, procedures, or programmatic delivery frameworks.

• Data-driven validation, digital workflows, and evidence capture experience.
• Experience with modular or manufacturing‑based delivery models is a plus.

Product Department

The Product team at Vantage defines and stewards our global product platform: the customer outcomes we aim to deliver, the standards and reference approaches that make delivery repeatable, and the closed-loop learning that turns each deployment into an upgrade for the next. We do this in partnership with Engineering, Delivery, Operations, Procurement, Sustainability, Sales, Site Selection, and Business Development, aligning priorities and trade-offs while preserving clear functional ownership for design execution, construction delivery, commissioning, and site operations.

Position Overview

Vantage is building a repeatable, product-led approach to delivering and operating data centers at global scale. We are hiring a Commissioning Program Developer, Global to define and operate the global commissioning framework that makes that approach operationally real: the standards, requirements, methods, readiness gates, digital workflows, and feedback loops that turn commissioning from a project-specific activity into a scalable, repeatable capability.

This is a hands-on program development role for someone who combines deep commissioning and mission‑critical delivery experience with the ability to build practical standards, influence cross‑functional partners, and advance Commissioning as Code — translating repeatable commissioning logic, test procedures, evidence requirements, data structures, and reporting workflows into digital, automated, and scalable methods of execution.

What You Will Own

You will own the commissioning capability framework for our global product platform: the standards, requirements, methods, governance processes, digital workflows, and measures that make commissioning more repeatable, measurable, and scalable. Your work enables commissioning requirements to be embedded earlier in design, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and operational readiness, without taking project‑level execution away from regional delivery teams.

What You Will Do

• Define and maintain global commissioning standards, requirements, methodologies, templates, readiness gates, and governance processes.

• Develop scalable commissioning approaches that can be consistently applied across regions, project types, and standardized infrastructure solutions.

• Translate business, customer, operational, engineering, and delivery requirements into practical commissioning strategies and execution frameworks.

• Partner with engineering, procurement, construction, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, automation, and regional delivery teams to embed commissioning requirements earlier in the project lifecycle.

• Develop strategies to move appropriate testing and validation activities upstream into factory, prefabrication, modular assembly, supplier, off‑site, or near‑site environments.

• Establish requirements for factory acceptance testing, supplier readiness, equipment validation, integrated system verification, and modular commissioning.

• Develop and advance Commissioning as Code by converting repeatable commissioning logic, procedures, checks, evidence requirements, and reporting needs into structured, digital, and where possible automated workflows.

• Partner with controls, automation, digital infrastructure, engineering, and operations teams to support automated testing, telemetry integration, data‑driven validation, evidence management, and readiness reporting.

• Define commissioning data structures, reporting requirements, and analytics frameworks that support lessons learned, performance benchmarking, supplier quality insight, and long‑term operational improvement.

• Provide training, implementation guidance, governance support, and adoption support for regional delivery and commissioning teams.

What Success Looks Like

• A global commissioning framework established, governed, and actively used across regions and project types.

• Commissioning requirements embedded earlier in the delivery lifecycle, with clear readiness gates before site execution risk materializes.

• Increased use of factory, supplier, off‑site, near‑site, and modular validation where appropriate.

• Commissioning as Code principles established, with repeatable procedures translated into structured workflows, data, automated checks, and traceable evidence capture.

• Reduced commissioning schedule risk, field labor intensity, rework, duplicated testing, and execution variability.

• Commissioning KPIs and reporting frameworks in place to measure readiness, quality, productivity, schedule impact, and continuous improvement.

• Lessons learned, commissioning data, supplier performance, and operational feedback captured and used to improve future standards and delivery methods.

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years in commissioning, mission‑critical infrastructure delivery, operational readiness, construction, engineering, manufacturing, automation, or related technical disciplines.

• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls, and integrated system commissioning principles in complex infrastructure environments.

• Experience developing commissioning standards, requirements, specifications, test procedures, readiness processes, or programmatic delivery frameworks.

• Experience leading cross‑functional improvement initiatives across engineering, operations, construction, commissioning, procurement, suppliers, and regional delivery teams.

• Experience using data, metrics, lessons learned, and performance analysis to improve delivery outcomes.

• Clear written and executive communication that turns complexity into standards people will adopt.

• Ability to balance global consistency with regional delivery requirements, regulatory constraints, customer needs, and local execution realities.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, building systems, industrial engineering, controls, data center infrastructure, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Data center, mission‑critical, advanced manufacturing, energy, technology infrastructure, or industrialized‑delivery domain experience.

• Experience supporting modular, prefabricated, standardized, or manufacturing‑based delivery models.

• Experience with factory acceptance testing, supplier quality processes, integrated systems validation, or off‑site commissioning approaches.

• Working knowledge of controls systems, building automation systems, telemetry platforms, digital twins, commissioning software (for example CxAlloy), or data acquisition tools.

• Experience developing automated workflows, digital test procedures, structured evidence capture, data‑driven validation, or software‑enabled commissioning methods.

• Experience with high‑density or AI‑ready technical environments.
