We have an exciting opportunity for two experienced Commissioning Managers to join our Adult Social Care team – one focusing on Residential & Nursing Careand the other on Mental Health. In this role, you will work collaboratively with providers, partners, and residents to ensure services meet evolving needs and deliver value for money. You will bring commissioning expertise, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for innovation and co-production.
Commissioning Manager – Residential & Nursing Care
This role focuses on delivering Surrey's Residential and Nursing Care Delivery Strategy by shaping market capacity, commissioning integrated care solutions, and strengthening provider relationships. Responsibilities include supporting procurement processes, developing service specifications, leading resident engagement initiatives, and overseeing contract management. The position plays a key role in increasing care home capacity for complex needs, embedding resident insights, and driving innovation to improve quality and outcomes.
Commissioning Manager – Mental Health
This role manages a portfolio of mental health-related services, including housing support and supported independent living, ensuring affordability, quality, and positive outcomes. Key responsibilities involve contract management, performance monitoring, and collaborative working with internal and external partners. The role supports strategic projects such as reablement service re-commissioning and positioning services for Local Government Reorganisation, aiming to tackle inequality and enhance health outcomes for socially excluded individuals.
Both roles do not include direct line management or supervisory responsibilities.
