Job summary

AEP Global is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the safe testing, energisation and commissioning of HV and MV systems across the UK and Europe. You will work with clients, EPC contractors, OEMs and engineering teams to provide technical leadership throughout the commissioning lifecycle.

Navigate complex substations and power infrastructure while ensuring compliance with safety rules and high-quality project delivery. This role offers rotation and opportunities across Europe.

Qualifications

• Electrical Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or Degree.
• ECS, CSCS or Safe Pass where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV/MV commissioning activities on major infrastructure projects.
• Manage commissioning engineers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Plan and oversee switching, testing and energisation activities.
• Coordinate protection, control, transformer and switchgear commissioning.
• Review procedures, test packs and documentation.
• Chair commissioning meetings and manage client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety rules and Permit-to-Work.
• Deliver projects safely, on programme and to high quality standards.

Commissioning Manager – Grid & Power Systems

AEP Global is looking for experienced Commissioning Managers to lead the safe testing, energisation and commissioning of High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) systems across the UK and Europe.

The Role

As a Commissioning Manager, you'll lead commissioning activities from installation through to energisation and final handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest industry standards.

Working alongside clients, EPC contractors, OEMs and engineering teams, you'll provide technical leadership across every stage of the commissioning lifecycle.

• Delivering projects safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards
