Compass Associates are proud to be exclusively partnering with a highly regarded growing care provider in the recruitment of an experienced Commissioning Home Manager for their newly developed, purpose‑built large nursing home in Sevenoaks. This is a genuine blank‑canvas commissioning opportunity offering full autonomy from pre‑opening phase through to full occupancy and operational excellence. You will lead CQC registration, recruit and train the entire team, implement systems and policies, drive pre‑admissions/occupancy, and deliver a first‑time ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating.

The Candidate

This role will suit a proven nurse‑qualified Home Manager or Commissioning Manager who has previously opened a new nursing home, re‑registered a service, or successfully delivered a complex turnaround/acquisition integration. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of achieving and maintaining ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’ CQC outcomes in dementia or complex nursing settings, together with the commercial skills to drive rapid occupancy growth while embedding outstanding person‑centred care. We are looking for a confident, positive leader who thrives on building something from scratch, inspires teams, and is genuinely passionate about delivering exceptional care in a modern, high‑quality environment.

Requirements

• Preferred Nurse qualified (RGN/RMN) with active NMC PIN
• Minimum 4‑5 years’ experience as a CQC‑registered Home Manager
• Proven commissioning, new‑opening or major turnaround experience
• Track record of achieving ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’ CQC ratings in nursing/dementia settings
• Strong commercial acumen with evidence of driving and sustaining occupancy
• Exceptional leadership skills and ability to recruit and build a completely new team
• High emotional intelligence and a warm, hands‑on management style

The home is located in Sevenoaks, Kent – easily commutable from Tonbridge, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Orpington, Bromley, Maidstone, Crawley, Redhill, Oxted, Edenbridge, Dartford, Swanley, Westerham, Biggin Hill and surrounding areas.

Summary

Our client is looking for an accomplished Commissioning Home Manager with a proven history of delivering successful new openings or turnarounds. In return, they offer a competitive salary of up to £75,000 per annum, plus a bonus.
