Commissioning Engineer

Our Derby based client has been established for more than 30 years and is renowned as a market leader in the provision of innovative and bespoke integrated systems, primarily to the transportation, airport and power infrastructure industry. They are now seeking to recruit a number of experienced and ambitious Commissioning Engineer professionals to complement their established and successful team of electrical and control engineers delivering end-to-end control system solutions.

Responsibilities

• Check installation of equipment to the correct standard prior to starting testing.
• Perform system testing according to the Installation and Commissioning Test document.
• Conduct PLC data input tests, including verification of operation to and from plant and field devices into PLCs.
• Set up field devices.
• Perform site acceptance tests, fault find and correction of any PLC code or wiring issues.
• Produce documentation such as RAMs, test documentation and weekly progress reports.
• Attend site progress meetings, toolbox talks and provide professional representation of the business, especially during client-facing test conditions.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant commissioning work experience.
• HND level or above in electrical or control engineering.
• Full UK driving licence.
• EDU/EEA/Swiss passport for working in Europe.
• No criminal convictions due to security clearances required by airport authorities.

Compensation and Benefits
