Commissioning Engineer

Salary approx. £39,500 per annum

UK Wide Travel Required

We are looking for a self‑motivated and customer‑focused Commissioning Engineer for our award‑winning client based in Nottinghamshire.

This business has an outstanding reputation for providing bespoke sustainable solutions to customers UK wide. You will be working in a specialist field, and training will be fully supported.

THE ROLE

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a high‑quality commissioning service for all newly installed products, as well as:

  • Providing installation services for full new systems and upgrades for control panels
  • Read and understand technical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Attending pre‑installation visits to offer advice and guidance
  • Being involved in the planning process and attending handover meetings as required
  • Replacing bulbs, pressure vessels, junction boxes and electrical rotary isolators
  • Fault finding, pump programming and pipework upgrades
  • Knowing how to build standard, singlex and combi control panels so that you have a deeper understanding of their operation
  • Abiding by the RAMS provided and general health and safety requirements on site
THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Commissioning Engineer will require the following skills:

  • Level 3 Electrical Qualification as a minimum
  • Computer literate with experience of the basic Microsoft packages
  • Understanding of Health & Safety at a work
  • Eagerness for training and be happy to work towards CSCS, working at heights and working in confined spaces qualifications, if not already achieved
  • Flexibility to travel around the UK and stay away from home up to 3 nights a week with hotels and food budget
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Personable and friendly
