Job summary

Envirogen is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead the handover of water and process treatment projects, ensuring systems are tested, validated and operating exactly as designed.

You’ll coordinate commissioning activities across industrial water treatment, collaborate with Project Managers, engineers and subcontractors, and act as the main client contact to deliver a safe, on-schedule start-up and successful project handover.

Qualifications

  • Experience commissioning mechanical, electrical, control or process systems within industrial, utilities, water or manufacturing environments
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, technical drawings and engineering specifications
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working on-site with contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
  • A proactive approach, excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering projects successfully

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during testing and start-up
  • Manage commissioning documentation, test records and handover packs
  • Act as the main client contact during commissioning, building strong relationships and ensuring a positive customer experience
  • Ensure all activities are delivered safely and in line with quality, environmental and compliance standards

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a key role in taking projects from installation through to successful handover, ensuring systems are tested, validated and operating exactly as designed.

What You’ll Do
