Job summary

Gold Group is seeking an experienced Senior AV Commissioning Engineer based in Manchester to lead the commissioning of complex AV systems across commercial environments. The role covers configuration, testing, programming Crestron and Q-SYS platforms, and hands-on work on site and in workshops.

You'll manage AV rack builds, video distribution, networking and LED displays, ensuring thorough handover documentation and fault-free operation for clients.

Qualifications

• Strong experience commissioning professional AV systems.
• Crestron programming and system configuration experience.
• Experience with LED processing and control platforms, ideally Novastar.
• Good knowledge of video distribution, networking and signal management.
• Experience with AV rack building, wiring and testing.
• A methodical approach to technical fault finding and problem solving.
• Q-SYS configuration, audio DSP, control UI development and scripting or automation experience would also be beneficial.

Senior AV Commissioning Engineer

I'm working with a leading AV integrator looking to recruit an experienced Senior AV Commissioning Engineer to join its technical team.

This is a varied, hands-on role involving the configuration, programming, testing and commissioning of complex AV systems across a range of commercial environments. You'll work across audio, video, control systems, digital signage, networking and LED displays, ensuring installations are fully tested, correctly configured and ready for customer handover.

You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with project managers, solutions architects, installation engineers and support teams. The role will include both workshop-based preparation and commissioning on customer sites.

The role will involve UK-wide customer site visits, with occasional overnight stays and out-of-hours work depending on project requirements. A full UK driving licence is essential.
