Join Our Team as a Commissioning Engineer - UK Based

Are you a hands-on, customer-focused engineer looking for your next challenge? We are seeking Field Based Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team, working with mechanical, electrical, and conveyor systems across the UK - with the potential for global projects as you gain experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with customers and provide excellent service.
  • Plan and execute commissioning activities in coordination with Project Managers and Technical Sales.
  • Commission mechanical and electrical systems, completing detailed reports and checklists.
  • Diagnose and resolve system faults (mechanical and electrical) and carry out remedial work on-site.
  • Train operators to ensure safe and effective system use.
  • Promote maintenance best practices and introduce customers to the technical services team.
  • Complete final system handovers, ensuring full operational understanding.
  • Maintain site signage, decals, and housekeeping standards.
  • Provide quality feedback to Project Managers and Technical Sales Managers, including snagging lists and installation reviews.
  • Take project photos for documentation and marketing purposes.
  • Stay in touch with customers post-handover to ensure satisfaction and address any follow-up issues.
Skills and Experience Required
  • UK-based engineers with conveyor experience and strong mechanical skills (80-90%).
  • Multi-skilled maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and pneumatic systems / components.
  • Methodical, adaptable, and professional in customer-facing situations.
What We Offer
  • Salary: £32k-£48k DOE, with OTE of £60-70k.
  • Van provided for junior engineers; car for senior engineers.
  • 42-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with shift / overtime allowance.
  • 25+ days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Pension: 3-5% contribution.
  • Structured training program : 1 month buddying for experienced engineers, 4 months for juniors.
