Job summary

MWH Treatment Limited is seeking a Commissioning Engineer, site-based, to lead electrical commissioning activities on the Waste Batch 15 Wigstone STW project in Leicester. You will ensure safe, compliant delivery in line with project procedures and client requirements.

You will coordinate with design, O&M, and training teams, oversee FAT/SAT and witness tests, and compile comprehensive commissioning deliverables and take-over documentation for successful handover.

Qualifications

• Proven electrical commissioning experience.
• Extensive site experience in water and/or water recycling operations.
• Practical knowledge of water and/or water recycling processes.
• A valid clean UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out commissioning activities safely and in compliance with procedures.
• Review project risks related to MEICA and commissioning.
• Attend inductions and toolbox talks for commissioning.
• Coordinate with Design to incorporate commissioning requirements at design stage.
• Review design deliverables including P&IDs, control philosophy, and telemetry.
• Develop commissioning plans and ensure FAT/SAT witnessed and signed off.
• Assist in developing the initial commissioning programme.
• Attend progress and commissioning meetings and compile deliverables.
• Provide input into commissioning strategy reviews and documentation.
• Liaise with sub-contractors on commissioning deliverables and interfaces.
• Assist in training deliverables and O&M documentation preparation.
• Distribute commissioning logs and take-over reports.

Job description

We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with an Commissioning Engineer, Sitebased within the Waste Batch 15 Wigstone STW (Leicester).

You will report directly to the CommissioningManager and will be managing all commissioning activities ensuring work is undertaken safely in accordance with Company Procedures, specifications, and good working practices.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Carry out Commissioning Engineers R&R’s and deliver schemes in a safe compliant manner.
• Review and monitoring of MEICA related Project risks.
• Attend commissioning systems inductions and tool box talks.
• Liaise with Design team to ensure plant commissioning requirements are incorporated at design stage and included in appropriate scope of works.
• Review of design deliverables, including FDS, equipment and instrument lists, P&IDs, control philosophy and telemetry requirements
• Review and development of Compliance & Commissioning Plans in conjunction with design intent
• Oversee and sign off FAT and SAT, and process witness tests.
• Assist in development of initial Commissioning Programme.
• Attend Progress & Commissioning Meetings
• Compile commissioning documentation and deliverables.
• Provide input into Commissioning Strategy Reviews and Documentation.
• Liaise with sub-contractors regards commissioning deliverables and interfaces.
• Assist Training Coordinators in compilation of training deliverables and engage in SW Training sessions.
• Assist O&M Coordinators in compilation and review of O&M Manuals.
• Distribute Commissioning Log / Daily Diary’s and any other information from Engineers.
• Assist in the preparation of take over reports
• Liaise with complete scheme delivery team.
