Job summary

The Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa, Turners Hill near East Grinstead, is seeking a confident Commis Chef Pastry to join a renowned kitchen brigade. You will work within fresh, local ingredients to help deliver Rosette-standard pastry alongside a team of 16 chefs and 5 kitchen porters.

Qualifications

• Quality experience in a fresh food environment.
• Desire to gain experience and learn to create rosette standard dishes from fresh local ingredients.
• Ability to work flexible shifts around 40 hours per week over 5 days.
• Experience in a quality hotel kitchen environment.
• Team player with contribution mindset and strong accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Work with a brigade of 16 chefs and 5 kitchen porters.
• Assist in preparing Rosette-level pastry offerings and menus.
• Cover shifts across breakfast, lunch, dinner including weekends.
• Collaborate to deliver high standards and consistency.
• Contribute to training and development within the kitchen team.

Up to £27,436.80 per annum + monthly service charge payment
