Job summary

A family-owned food company in Sittingbourne is looking for a dedicated Mix & Weight Commis Chef. This role involves accurately mixing and weighing ingredients to ensure the highest quality of food production. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ level 2 in catering and experience working in a kitchen environment. Qualifications

  • Experience working in a kitchen environment is a plus.
  • Previous knowledge in food manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a small team setting.

Sunday- Monday to Friday 10pm to 6am

Location: Sittingbourne COOK Kitchen CKK

Pay: £13.60 per hour (yes this include paid breaks)£28,288.00 per year

The Role
  • Mix weigh and measure ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to requirements
  • Follow recipes closely and do a final check to ensure the next department has all elements of the dish. Consistency is a must and therefore you must have a full understanding of our specifications.
  • Test samples of products to ensure compliance with specifications
Good to Have
  • NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in catering.
  • Experience of working in food manufacturing, production would be an advantage
  • Being able to work in a small team, communication is KEY.
  • Some experience necessary of working in a kitchen environment would be great.
