A local catering company in Douglas, Northern Ireland, is looking for a kitchen team member to prepare and cook takeaway items. Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene standards and assisting in stock checks. Must be reliable, with a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Weekend and night shift availability is essential.
The role involves preparing and cooking pizzas, kebabs, and other takeaway items while ensuring smooth order management and maintaining high customer service standards. You will be responsible for keeping the kitchen and work area clean and organized, following strict food hygiene and safety regulations at all times. You will also assist with stock checks and general kitchen duties to support efficient day-to-day operations.
Please note that working during weekends and especially during night shifts is compulsory for this position. In addition, employees must be available to work during peak seasonal events, including TT races, Manx Grand Prix, and the Christmas period, as these are some of the busiest times of the year for our business.
We are looking for a reliable team player with a strong work ethic, good time management, and excellent attention to detail. Prior kitchen experience is beneficial, but we are happy to train the right candidate. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to handle pressure during busy periods.
