Commis Chef - £14.13 per hour | Watford | Hotel Restaurant & Bar. Hours: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Availability: 7 days a week (on a rota basis). Employer: Well-known hotel brand.

Responsibilities

• Support senior chefs in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of a wide range of dishes for the hotel's restaurant and bar.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness at all times.
• Ensure all food is prepared, labelled, and stored according to safety standards.
• Work closely with the chef team to deliver consistent quality and presentation.
• Assist with stock rotation and kitchen organisation.
• Follow all health and safety and food safety regulations.
• Provide support during busy service periods, helping the chef team deliver an outstanding guest experience.

What We're Looking For

• Previous kitchen or commis chef experience is desirable, but a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn are most important.
• Passion for cooking and developing as a chef in a professional hotel kitchen.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a 7-day rota, including weekends and evenings (2pm-10pm).
• Reliable, punctual, and motivated to deliver high standards every shift.
