A rising pub chain in the UK is seeking a Commis Chef to support kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow. The role offers the chance to learn from senior chefs while working in a vibrant team environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food, be flexible, and demonstrate a willingness to grow within the culinary field. As a Commis Chef you will play an integral role in supporting the kitchen and ensuring operations run smoothly. You will work closely with the senior chefs to understand the different roles & stations within the kitchen. You will learn all areas of the kitchen, from the setup of each section to all food preparation and the final clean down. You will need to be comfortable and happy working both independently but also as part of the wider kitchen team. You will need to take ownership of your area, tracking orders and ticket times, but also work closely with the main kitchen team to ensure efficiency and smooth running to provide our guests with the best possible experience. You may be asked to support on any section in the kitchen dependent on business needs, it’s essential you have a good understanding of our full menu and are confident to jump in and help in any area should it be required.
