This is a Commis Chef role at Potters Bar Clinic, which is part of Elysium Healthcare, an established and agile healthcare company with over 8,000 employees. The role involves supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, preparing and cooking meals to a high standard, and catering for various events and occasions. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar environment and possess the necessary qualifications, including City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent) in Basic Food Preparation and Cooking, as well as Basic and Intermediate Food Hygiene certificates.
As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. This includes maintaining good food storage procedures, preparing and cooking meals to a consistently high standard, serving food and beverages to service users, staff, and visitors, and participating in food costings through effective cost control procedures. You will also be involved in catering for conferences, banquets, and various special events and occasions. The role requires adherence to food safety regulations and standards, such as 'Safer Food Better Business'.

Join the team at Potters Bar Clinic providing care for young people and adults with acute mental health needs and personality disorders in an established 24-hour care environment. The CAMHS Tier 4 Low Secure services are for young people aged 13–18.
Potters Bar Clinic is located in a residential area, only one minute drive from the M25 and a short bus ride from Potters Bar Train Station, with a bus stop right outside, making it an easy commute for most.
