Job summary

Compass Group UK&I ESS is recruiting a Chef to join Defence catering on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week. The role involves preparing and serving high-quality food that delights clients and customers, with opportunities to progress within a market-leading food service company in the UK.

You will oversee menus, supervise food service operations, and ensure compliance with hygiene and health and safety standards while delivering excellent customer service in Defence environments.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food for Defence clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to improve services.
• Assist with new menus and creative concepts.
• Represent Defence and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.

• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image
• Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked

• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Satefty regulations
