Job summary

Thistle London is hiring a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at The Tower, a four-star hotel on the River Thames. This flexible, hourly role offers £13.25 per hour plus tronc in a busy, casual dining environment near Tower Bridge and The Tower of London.

You\'ll assist with dish preparation, maintain high quality, follow Health & Safety guidelines, and learn from experienced chefs while developing your culinary skills and passion for great service.

The Tower Hotel is a 4 star deluxe Hotel overlooking the Thames, next to Tower Bridge. The hotel's 801 bedrooms, restaurants, bars and 19 meeting rooms benefit from stunning views over Tower Bridge and St Katharine Docks.

What you’ll be doing

In our kitchens, we believe that delicious food served in a welcoming atmosphere is key to a memorable dining experience. As a Commis Chef, you will play an essential role in preparing and delivering a diverse range of appetizing dishes that enhance our guests' experiences.

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation in a casual dining setting.
• Maintain a focus on quality, with meticulous attention to detail in every dish.
• Follow and adhere to all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for the team.
• Bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs, gaining exposure to different cooking techniques and styles.
