COMMIS CHEF - AUTHENTIC INDIAN RESTAURANT

Location: Ruislip Manor

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time

Shifts: Evenings and weekends

THE ROLE

Dedicated cook needed to join a kitchen team at an authentic Indian restaurant. Work alongside experienced team members, preparing traditional dishes while receiving hands-on training. Must have tandoor experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards
  • Work with tandoor to prepare traditional Indian breads and dishes
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and taste meet high standards
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Complete temperature recording and food safety documentation
  • Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating
  • Work efficiently during busy service periods
  • Follow health and safety regulations
  • Learn traditional Indian cooking techniques through training programme
REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Experience working with tandoor
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Experience with temperature recording and food safety documentation
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak times
  • Team player with strong work ethic
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Right to work in the UK
