Position Overview

Aramark UK is currently recruiting a Chef to join our team working at Junior Ranks, Baker Barracks, Thorney Island, Emsworth, PO10 8DH.

You will be responsible for collaborating with the teams regarding food production management to ensure minimal wastage, maintenance of food levels, food quality and brand standards.

  • Collaborate with the teams regarding food production management to ensure minimal wastage, maintenance of food levels, food quality and brand standards.
  • Prepare food for military dining facilities within the Junior Ranks and hospitality events.
  • Assist with post‑analysis and ensure all shift opening and closing checklists are completed.
  • Learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
  • Undertake relevant training as required.
What do we offer
  • This is a full‑time position, annual salary £24,307.12 for 35 hours per week. Shift pattern is working 5 out of 7 days as per the rota at 7 hours a day. Shifts range between 0630 to 1400, 1130 to 1900 and one weekend in five, which is 07:00-19:00 both days and Monday. The remainder of the week off.

Requirements to Apply
  • Relevant culinary qualification.
  • Previous experience of working in a kitchen.
  • Certificate in food safety (or willing to obtain via our online e‑learning).
  • Excellent team player and communicator.
  • DBS and Enhanced Baseline security checks required.
  • Must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK, and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
  • Reliable transport due to the location of the site and limited public transport.
